"Beco das Garrafas was, in the 50s and 60s, the meeting point for young Brazilian musicians.
Among the instrumentalists, we can highlight Sergio Mendes, Luís Carlos Vinhas, Baden Powell, Durval Ferreira, Tião Neto, Milton Banana, Manuel Gusmão, Bebeto Castilho, Mauricio Einhorn, Dom Um Romão, Airto Moreira, Wilson das Neves, Chico Batera. Among the singers: Dolores Duran, Elis Regina, Johnny Alf, Sylvia Telles, Jorge Ben, Marisa Gata Mansa, Dóris Monteiro, Claudette Soares, Alaíde Costa, Pery Ribeiro, Leny Andrade and Wilson Simonal. And it was also where the pocket shows of the duo Miéle & Bôscoli were born.
With so many musicians meeting and exchanging experiences on a daily basis, an instrumental genre derived from Bossa Nova began to emerge in Beco das Garrafas, which was an ongoing revolution within our instrumental music. This new style was called Samba-Jazz. And the groups Tamba Trio, Trio 3D, Sambalanço Trio, Os Gatos, Meirelles and the Copa 5, Sergio Mendes and Sexteto Bossa Rio, Bossa Três, Jongo Trio, Rio 65 Trio, Sambossa 5, Milton Banana Trio, among dozens of others were born ." - ttps://becodasgarrafas.com.br/principal/contato/
"YUMI PARK QUARTET
21:00 (THUR) | Bottle's Bar
Self-taught singer (performer/composer) since October 2012, of South Korean origin, living in Brazil since 1994.
Bossa Nova awakened in Yumi, when she listened to a playlist (lounge) at the restaurant where she worked as a waitress, in Alto Paraíso de Goiás (2009). Since then, Yumi follows the dream of having a career as a Bossa Nova interpreter in Rio de Janeiro and without even knowing that a little further ahead, she would find the works of maestro Tom Jobim that she would fall in love with.
Today, Yumi Park continues to sing compositions by authors such as: Tom Jobim, Vinicius de Moraes, Roberto Menescal, Marcos Valle, João Donato, Carlos Lyra, Baden Powell, among many others... Her influences: Gal Costa, Nara Leão, Elis Regina , Leny Andrade… And because he lived with jazz musicians from Rio de Janeiro, he also began to dedicate himself to jazz standards with influences from: Betty Carter, Carmen Mcrae, Bobby Mcferrin, Ella Fitzgerald, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Tânia Maria, Cyrille Aimée, Veronika Swift, search that never ends!

"Carioca Cultural Heritage
Cervantes received the title of “Carioca Cultural Heritage”, in addition to several awards. Our brand is to satisfy the palate of our customers, whether with sandwiches on the whim, delicious dishes, well-drawn chopps, tasty drinks, among others.
Synonym of relaxation and bohemia
Cervantes was founded on July 30, 1955 by Hamuss Zalman. In the beginning it was a simple grocery store that also supplied sandwiches on a whim. In 1965, Cervantes was acquired by two Spanish partners, who turned it into a restaurant and maintained the sandwiches that became famous for their quality and abundance. Another difference is that the restaurant has expanded its opening hours.
More than 60 years have been filled with the flavors of our customers' stories: dinners between couples, friends' get-togethers, late-night chats washed down with draft beers, drinks and sandwiches. Over these years we have dedicated ourselves to always acting with a special quality: attention to our customers, friends and suppliers.
We thank each and every one of you who is part of this story.
Here's to all of us!" - ttps://restaurantecervantes.com.br/
